Presidential Repository is an institution
dedicated to the task of managing presidential
records which has been built to enhance the
transparency and accountability of the overall
government operation; and improve the public
awareness of presidential records by protecting,
permanently safeguarding, and utilizing these
records while performing specialized and systematic
management of the same. |

The records held in the
Presidential Repository are those from the
era of Syngman Rhee, the first
president to that of Kim Dae-jung,
the fifteenth, including: documents (220,467),
audiovisual materials
(video, audio, photograph and other
media; 79,605 articles), and other articles
(the seal of state,
furnishings, agreements, posters, postcards,
admission tickets, post stamps; 399 articles)
The presidential records
generated during the office of the 16th president,
Roh Moo-hyun, will be
acquired by February 24, 2008, processed
and exhibited. |
